Our Mission Statement
Healing Hearts Herbs and Acupuncture is dedicated to better health through the use of Chinese herbal medicinals. Combining clinical experience and the wisdom of ancient texts and learned teachers, formulas for today's common ailments are effectively addressed. Body balance and symptom relief without side effects or toxicity often associated with pharmaceuticals is possible using Chinese medicines.
What is Oriental Medicine?
It is a two thousand year old tradition that has undergone much refinement with the contributions of many scholarly practitioners. Using detailed diagnostics, a patient's constitutional makeup is determined. Imbalances are matched with treatment strategies. Chinese herbs and/or acupuncture are implemented to allow the body to regain balance and thus heal from within. Western Medicine often forces the body's chemistry to shift irregardless of underlying patterns. Oriental Medicine strives to strengthen deficiencies, eliminate excesses, circulate stagnation and thermo-regulate.
What is Unique About Us?
Charles Sciutto has been in nursing for the past twenty years. He has a great respect for Western and Oriental Medicine. He and his wife, Joy, have successfully run a six bed nursing home for more than ten years. He is also keenly aware of the many gifts that Oriental Medicine offers. Working with patients he has incorporated herbal medicine with Western pharmaceuticals for three years now. This has enabled reduction and/or elimination of medications. Charles has conducted a clinical trial on an effective herbal replacement for symptoms of acid reflux/GERD. Presently he is working to educate the greater community on the many achievements possible with herbal medicine in addressing their health concerns. Oriental Medicine has been proven to not only to hold reverence for past wisdom, but is a vehicle for cutting edge treatments in today's society.
Joy Sciutto is also an essential part of this practice. She aides product development and research. She helps patients maximize available insurance coverage.
